The Tokina ATX-i 11-20mm F2.8 CF (CF means cropped frame) is designed as an ultra wide angle zoom lens for APS-C sensor DLSR cameras. It is the only f/2.8 fast ultra wide angle zoom lens for APS-C sized DSLR cameras on the current market. Focal length 11-20mm that covers equivalent angle of 42.9mm-78mm (Chronos 1.4) and 22-40mm (Chronos 2.1-HD) lenses makes this lens attractive to be chosen after standard zoom lens or initially possessed wide angle zoom kit lens. This 1/3″ CS mount lens is good for very high-speed shots at lower resolution (up to about 800×480), both for close-up shots and as a zoom lens.

When zoomed out, this camera lens has a very low minimum focus distance, which makes it the ideal choice for close-up shots with a very short focus distance and need for zoom option. Focus range (zoomed out) from 1cm to infinity.

Important: The image circle of this camera lens will not fully cover the image sensor on Chronos 1.4. See the full sensor coverage zoomed out and zoomed in.

2.8-12mm f/1.4 zoom lens

This ultra wide angle 1/3″ CS mount lens is good for very high-speed shots at lower resolution (up to about 800×480). Good for extreme wide angles and close-up shots.

When zoomed out, this camera lens has a very low minimum focus distance, making it the ideal choice for close-up shots with a very short focus distance and need for zoom option. Focus range (zoomed out) from 0cm to infinity. Horizontal angle of view (at 640px width) is from 80 to 19 degrees.

Important: The image circle of this camera lens will not fully cover the image sensor on Chronos 1.4. See the full 1280×1024 sensor coverage zoomed out and zoomed in.

Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 Nikon F zoom lens

Our recommended all-in-one zoom lens for the Chronos 2.1-HD. This high-speed camera lens covers a broad range of uses, but please note that it does not allow for aperture control via a control ring (such as a focus ring or zoom ring on other lenses).

Nikon F type lens currently requires an F-C lens adapter to be mounted on a Chronos camera. 4/3″ image circle covers Chronos 1.4 and 2.1’s image sensor fully (no vignetting).

Note: The manual mode of the Sigma 24-70mm will be the only usable option with a Chronos camera.

Mostly used for scientific and research applications, this microscope lens offers extreme close-up shots without the lens getting too close to the subject and thus without blurring. Includes 0.5x and 2x barlow lenses to adjust focus distance and magnification.

Focus distance (front of lens to subject):
0.5x barlow: 170mm
No barlow: 100mm
2x barlow: 30mm

Field of view (width, 2/3″ sensor):
0.5x barlow — 9mm to 57mm
No barlow — 4mm to 27mm
2x barlow — 2mm to 13mm

Usage notes: This Chronos camera lens does not have a focus control; the camera or subject must be moved to obtain focus. The aperture is relatively narrow so a large amount of light is needed for proper exposure. When zoomed out, the image circle doesn’t fully cover the image sensor of Chronos 1.4.
